Plot Crawl 2016

The Low Moor Plot Crawl Saturday, July 23rd 2016

We ran this event for the first time last year and it was a resounding success. Expect to spend 10-15 minutes on each plot to see what others are growing, share experiences (good and bad) and discuss tactics! It’s not competitive, so there’s no need to spruce your plot up to inspection standard beforehand. It’s a good way to meet fellow tenants and to visit parts of the site you don’t usually venture to. We finish up by sharing tea, cake and ideas. Contact Lucy Wild to register your plot and to get involved! lucyawild@gmail.com

Pumpkin competition

Don’t forget the pumpkin competition this squash3Halloween!!
We’re starting at 3pm on Saturday 31st October, with classes for:

    • The tastiest sweet and the tastiest savoury pumpkin based dish!

50p per class, the same pumpkin is eligible to enter more than one class where applicable.

No need to enter in advance, just turn up and join in the fun.

Low Moor Plot Crawl

Low Moor Plot Crawl – Sunday 16th August 2pm onwards

Come for a nose around the other plots on the site – and don’t forget to register to open your pPlot crawllot for the plot crawl!

As a group we will spend ten minutes or so at each plot, discussing tactics and sharing ideas, before concluding our site tour at the shop for tea and cake.

It doesn’t matter what state your plot is in or how long you’ve had it, the idea is to come together to help each other make the most of our allotments.

It’s now just two weeks away – please email lucyawild@gmail.com with your name and plot number so we can plan a route.

We’re starting at 2pm from the shop, hoping to finish by 4pm for some refreshments. Bring something to share so we can make an afternoon of it – and please cross your fingers for sunshine!
